If you don't have a tape measure, you can use a dollar bill (6 inches long) or a standard sheet of copy paper (11 inches long). Measure both horizontally and vertically within the frame; our sales team will assess how the glass fits into the window or door frame.
Determine the glass color by placing a broken piece on a white sheet of paper. Common colors for window glass include clear, green, gray, and bronze.
Is it single or double pane? Single pane glass is a single layer, typically between 1/8” and ¼” thick. Double pane glass has two layers with about a ½” space in between. If the glass is broken out, examine the cross-section to see if there are one or two layers of broken shards.
We offer a range of standard sizes for residential door glass inserts: 20" x 36", 22" x 36", 20" x 64", 22" x 64", 20" x 80", and 22" x 80". Our standard inserts come in full lite and external grid patterns. To check if you have a standard size, please call us with the width and height of your door glass insert, including the applied frame.
